1. Minmatar - Eve in hard mode? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Originally by: Apollo Gabriel What are the advantages ...? Apollo I would rather call it different style and tactics to fly a certain ship. I can only speak of the Minmatar ships: Muninn = sniper HAC, but has lower range then the A...

2. What is the point of some of the industrials like the badger? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I can only speak for the Minmatar Industrials. The Wreathe is soooo cheap that you can haul low-value cargo with little financial risk, even through low-sec. The Hoarder is the ship of choice if you need more cargo-space and want a small amount o...

6. Factional Warfare Question - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You don't have to go all paranoid once you join faction warfare but you should be aware of the risks. As Rodj mentioned, your war targets will be attacked by the faction police in your faction's high-sec system. This keeps most enemies out of your...

8. Louis's epic overview settings - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Nice work Louis, may I ask what columns you suggest for players to use ? As a faction warfare participant I always recommend adding the "militia" column, so pilots can identify the friendly militia. As Minmatar I don't want to shoot Gallente mi...

9. Corp Ops requiring Ventrillo, et. al. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Imo pvp is about the only activity that requires voice-chat and there ARE situations where voice-comms are not necessary. 1) Cloaked prober (or to a lesser degree stealth bomber) Especially the cloaked prober is very independant of the fleet, ...

Edited by: Dex Timor on 31/03/2010 09:01:11 My former corp / alliance used a separate holding corp. Every CEO of the regular member corps had an alt in the holding corp (which served as executor corp). The alts were the only corp members and h...

14. Looking to get into manufacturing/trading....info on where to start. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Sorry for making this one a short post. Most important skill you will need is basic spreadsheet usage. What you need to know is what an item is actually worth and how it comes into the eve world. That means: 1) Is it produced by players, sold in...

15. New Pilot needs assistance - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Complex question indeed. I'd recommend joining a corp that specifically trains newcomers (Eve-uni maybe). Reading combat guides helps aswell. Ok, let's see. PvP and PvE mostly require different fittings. In PvE you can know what awaits you by ...

17. What do corporations do in Eve? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]

18. Questions about Ice Mining! - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I'm not in game to verify, but I think you can find Ice-belts in high-sec 0.6 systems. But there you may not find all the types of ice, that exist in 0.0 iirc.

19. Player pop-ups - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Slightly off topic, but make sure it's a convo not an unsollicitated fleet-invite . A fleet let's a member warp to another member of the fleet. That's a nice and very useful feature, but less when you don't want that.
